The Tig Q28 time code generator is just 2.8 cubic inches (about a third the size of the Tig), and suitable for even the smallest cameras and rigs. It offers a time code solution for single input cameras and recorders, combining both the audio and time code into one output so that it works with devices that do not have time code inputs, such as DSLR’s.
The Q28 is designed for simple set-up and quick manipulation. It has a PPM of just .5 and a temperature controlled crystal oscillator (TCXO) for high accuracy, as well as 15 adjustable settings between 20mV and 3V and supports frame rates of 23.976, 24 25, 29.97, 29.97DF, 30, and 30DF for maximum compatibility with recorders, cameras, and other devices.
Like the Tig, the Q28 cross-jams and has frame rate discrepancy and jamming indicators. It also has a new mode which flashes the time code in hours and minutes.
The durable chassis has an aluminum body, steel faceplate, reinforced center support, and a battery tube that keeps the batteries secure even when dropped.
